Why The Console System Is Here To Stay

By Scott Johnson

If you have done any research, you will kknow that console systems are taking over the PC. The PC, although fast and capable, is not the preferred way to play video games today. Why exactly is this? The answer lies in the proof, the consoles are faster, have better controllers, and offer network features that make it easy to pair up with a friend or stranger on line and play your favorite game.

Another important reason is that console systems are much easier to play with other people than a PC system is. The reason for this is that the video game console plugs directly into your HDTV, or theater setup, and is the optimal way to split the screen and play with a friend in the living room, than to use a tiny PC monitor to split up the screen and play with another person.

The largest reason why PC sytems are not as good as consoles is that the game selection is superior on console systems. Drake's Fortune Uncharted 2 was the 2009 game of the year for the PS3. This game sums up the reason why the console market for gaming is so much better than the PC's. The game is like watching a movie with its amazing voice acting, stunning graphics, and original musical score. The multiplayer is also one of the greatest parts of the game as it screams professionalism through and through.

The Xbox 360, by Microsoft, is also another great console with games like HALO and Assasssin's Creed 2. Both of these games have breathtaking visuals and high frame rate display to totall blow PC games out of the water.

With the PS4 being scheduled to come out in 2012, many people who want to get into the video gaming world should go ahead and feel comfortable buying the gaming systems of today. The trend is continuing to favor the consoles over the PC, so go ahead and ditch the PC and start enjoying video games the way they were meant to be enjoyed. - 30431
