Getting Rid of Firewall Spy ware

By Graham McKenzie

When downloading some types of new software to your computer, you may be confronted with a yes or no choice to continue. This can get annoying, but keep in mind this is your firewall warning you that the content you are putting into your computer's memory has the capabilities to bring harm if not done properly. Be leery of downloads that instruct the disarm of a firewall. When disarming the firewall you are letting a protective barrier open to malicious invasion.

When deleting Spy ware from a hard drive, you need your choice of removal software to check randomly for the amount of spy ware intact. Immediately after the scan is performed you will have to click on the remove button. Then deflect all other chances of a spy ware bug entering your system by building and maintaining a firewall.

Security is important when using a computer, especially if you pay bills, or release a significant amount of personal information across the web. This is when firewalls protect against nasty spy ware that can be used to lift the identity of the user. However, in some cases the firewalls can protect too much, by shielding a program to run that is permissible. You may have to disarm, or tweak the settings tab, to allow your program to run.

The relationship between spy ware removal and firewalls can be meshed into a single tab within the web browser. This leaves the user with a peace of mind while surfing or downloading from the Internet, because everything that is performed is screened and scanned. Otherwise, there will be a window pop up, informing the operator that there is a danger.

The only way to get rid of a spy ware bug thats inside your hard drive is to random scans. The scans will pick up spy ware, then use your security program to remove them. You must activate your firewall after cleaning or you will repeat the scans repeatedly. When a firewall is installed and activated properly, you will have no worries of spy ware getting into your components. - 30431

Make Your Computer Faster

By Mark Walters

Anyone who owns a computer wants to know how to make it run as fast as it possibly can. Fortunately, this is not as difficult as you might think it is to achieve.

First though, what is the reason for Windows based PCs becoming slower over time? Windows computers use an internal database which is called a registry. This registry is often the main reason for decreased PC speed, stuttering and even crashes and blue screens.

You see, your PC is constantly reading and writing to this registry while you work, or while you are playing games, on it. This all happens in the background without you even noticing.

When your PC was new, this was no problem, but the longer you have your computer, the more programs you install on it and the more the registry becomes bloated and damaged.

This is the reason that your PC is running slower and might crash all of a sudden without warning. Your computer needs to work hard to go through all the registry bloat, or it might simply crash if it comes across a faulty entry.

You might think that you would need to buy a new, faster computer, but you are in luck, because there is software, called a registry cleaner, which can help get your PC up to speed again.

This software scans you registry for errors and then repairs them for you. It is not possible to do this manually, unless you are extremely knowledgeable about registry errors, because there will be literally thousands of entries in your registry.

The registry software will check and fix all problems automatically in very little time. It will also check your system files and can cross check them with entries in the registry; if there are problems there, it will automatically fix them too.

It is very easy to use a registry cleaner to make your computer run faster. You do not need any special knowledge of your PC or Windows.

You simply start it by clicking a button on the screen, and then wait a little while. It will start automatically cleaning your registry and, once it is done, you will see a screen which shows you how many errors have been found and fixed.

A fast running, error free computer is just an hour or two away with the help of this single, affordable piece of software. Sounds simple, right? That's because it is!

So, to summarize, if you want to make your computer go faster, then the best thing you can do is to use a registry cleaner. - 30431

Warcraft Cataclysm and Patch 4.0. The Gold Sinks.

By Paul Rone-Clarke

The economy in Warcraft is getting right out of kilter. The progression is being lost. When, at level 60 you are better off farming copper than fel iron there has to be a problem.

Well, there is. The problem is players with multiple level 80 characters skewing the economy.

My situation is not unique. I have 16 level 80 characters (I level characters up by multiboxing 5 at a time) That may seem a lot, but I know several guild buddies who have three of four level 80's levelled the normal way - and often a level 80 Death Knight as well.

But I still start new toons, and this follows a pattern.

Well, if you're anything like me, you are trying a new class, race or combination of the two. At some point you give your character a profession, then, using the huge piles of gold from your main characters you level them up to say 225 in about 90 minutes. Buying stacks of low level items in the process.

Then - having done this, I will quite often get bored of the character and have to decide whether to carry on levelling.

More often than not, I don't. I might even delete them. So I never buy the mid range crafting materials for them. But the problem remains for Blizzard. Whenever I start a new alt, I can (and will) just buy my profession skills. Why not?

But the game is becoming unbalanced. Crafting is almost a waste of time the items are not bought, and return no value for your time and effort what-so-ever. Whereas low level gathering makes you a mass of gold. I think we should prepare for an "all change" in professions.

Expect patch 4.0 and Cataclysm to bring in some big changes. Most of this is informed speculation at the moment buy I predict;

A revamped set of crafted item. One's that are actually worth buying and wearing at low levels. These will cost more to make, offer more points to the maker towards their professions skill.

Blizzard will add gold skinks. The biggest gold drains yet. Expect to pay a premium for the rights to fly across Azeroth. Speed perks (nerfed back in 2.3 - unless you are level 69) may well return - and cost more than your flying epic cost you originally.

Archaeology will provide ingredients to "boost" existing items. Either with a stat increase or with a fundamental change to the way the item is crafted

Vendored items introduced for levels 81 to 85 will be expensive. Very expensive. As will repairs, and flights into the high level areas.

Blizzard are determined to make each level an "experience". So expect certain conditions on how you can proceed from 81-85. It may be that many areas do not allow groups at all. So those hoping to rush through with guild mates on a race to 85 may find that this tactic does not work (this goes for multi boxers as well of course)

It could be that 4.0 and Cataclysm is the last chance for Blizzard to fix an economy where the real world perils of hyper inflation and mass manufacturing redundancy are rife. Many won't equate real world issues such as these to the online world of Warcraft, but they are quite visibly there, and Blizzard are all too well aware of them. Cataclysm could be Blizzards last chance to fix them

Thankfully it seems they understand this, and are looking to fix the economy. If it fails - and it might. Be prepared for the end of the economy altogether by the time we hit patch 5.0. - 30431

Warcraft Cataclysm Release Date Speculation.

By Paul Rone-Clarke

With everyone looking forward to Cataclysm, speculation and excitement in the Warcraft forums is certainly pretty rife. Looking at what's planned it seems that Blizzard will produce the goods once again.

Leaving that aside, what concerns me is the time scale.

Ok, Cataclysm seems a long way off. Patch 3.3 has been out a while, yet the vibes we are getting from Blizzard is that there will be no major content additions between now and Cataclysm.

So, no major content added between now and the release of Cataclysm (and patch 4.0)

Looking back over the history of Warcraft updates, it follows a pretty tight pattern. Major additions in the form of "on tenth" increment patches or expansions are released every four to five months. The longest wait so far was between 2.4 and 3.0 (i.e. not including the "one hundredth" increments, they aren't generally content additions) March 2008 to October 2008. Just over five and a half months.

Now take a look at the projected release dates for Cataclysm. Forums, retailers, e-commerce sites, they all put the release at late 2010. Dates range from "Quarter 4 2010" to "Christmas 2010". Optimistically we are talking 10 months between 3.3 and Cataclysm. On average, if the speculation is anywhere near correct, we are really thinking in terms of almost a year

A whole year? I'm enjoying Icecrown as much as anyone. But a year?

The expectation in my guild is that we will have done and dusted everything the Icecrown has to offer far sooner than this. Running it again and again to get BiS for Alts and dual spec layouts? Well, there's only so often you want to do that.

What do Blizzard expect us to do in the mean time? Keep paying the subscription then sit back and twiddle our thumbs?

Definitely not, this makes no sense and will not happen. One of two things will happen between now and then.

There are two possibilities.

Patch 3.4 will come out. Probably introducing more Troll lore and getting the Worg back-story moving or...

The Cataclysm expansion will be released in early fall (autumn) no later than September.

Keep this to yourself though. Simply mentioning either of these possibilities in the Warcraft forums will get you beat down before you can touch the "reply" tab. The people who won't accept this do not understand either Blizzards financial model, or the game mechanic that is inter-reliant on it. Warcraft is a game of progression. It always has been and it always will be. Blizzard will not let it stagnate for months; it would be financial suicide for them. 9 or 10 months without new content will not happen. Period. So it's early Cataclysm, or patch 3.4.

Those are the options as I see them. Unless of course you know different - 30431

5 Things you Should Do if Your Warcraft Account is Hacked.

By Paul Rone-Clarke

Hacking season is upon us. What with he Christmas holidays just past and people perhaps being excited about the forthcoming expansion, the hackers have been having a field day. Many accounts have been lost.

One popular scam is the "Cataclysm Alpha" scam. Where you might be contacted to join the Alpha testing for the upcoming expansion. Of course, they want your password and other account details. Before you know it you have lost access to your account, and in all likelihood it has been ransacked for all the decent items you have, and sold on

There are now several sites looking just like the official Warcraft Armory. (Check the URL). They send you an email. The tag says Warcraft Armory, so you click it. It looks exactly like the armory on site. You sign up for some bogus "special offer" (often a pet or mount). And again, they have your account.

If this happens to you, what steps can you take?

First, unless they have secured your account with an authenticator, you should be able to get your password back - even if it has been changed - through Blizzards password retrieval form

If you are successful, then change your account password again, and the contact e-mail if you can. Choose something very obscure. Mix upper and lower case letters and numbers. Use whatever special characters you can.

If this is a new scam, one you have not heard of, then do everyone a favour and post on the Warcraft forums. Let others know the details. Be that hero!

Get in touch with Blizzard. E-mail Blizzard technical support ASAP. You will have a step advantage when it comes to proving the account is actually yours.

Finally, consider getting an authenticator yourself. So far no account with these devices has been reported as lost or hacked. It's an extra one off cost, but if (like me) you've ever lost an account, you'll know how valuable it seems.

Don't forget your guild mates. As you read this the hacker is at your guild bank emptying it into his backpack. Ruining your reputation with your guild - so go to your guild forum and get an e-mail address of a guild mate. Ask someone else you know to post on chat on your server. Anything. Let your guild mates know, otherwise they may well assume you have stolen from the guild bank, and you may not be welcome back.

This is an avoidable problem. Look after your account, secure your guild. Consider getting extra security.

Good Luck. - 30431

All You Need To Know On Registry Clean Download.

By Eddie Johnson

Help to improve the performance of your personal computer by getting a registry clean download today, as is freely available on the internet. This will help you to fix a number of errors that might occur on your PC's Windows registry.

The database on your computer which contains information about the computer's configuration is called the registry. The more you use the computer, the bigger this database becomes.

AS you use the computer, old files and unused data start to accumulate in the registry and start to clutter it. The computer will start working more slowly and errors occur.

The performance of the system becomes below average and more slow and strange problems relating to your software could start occurring.

The internet offers hundreds of free cleaner downloads which might enhance your PC's speed and clear up registry problems.

Cleaner downloads generally contain a backup or restore function which allows you to back up the entire Windows registry on your PC to the same status it is now if you encounter a system failure after removing an essential file.

A registry cleaner can be used on most operating systems.

Sometimes, important references might be left behind during software removals or software might be removed incorrectly, which could cause registry errors.

Missing or corrupt hardware drivers could also cause problems within the Windows registry that might affect the performance of your PC.

A sudden slowness or slow loading of Windows might indicate a registry error.

Registry clearing software scan the Windows registry and finds unnecessary or invalid files contained in the registry. A list of errors is displayed at the end of the search and the registry cleaner allows you to select the files you wish to remove.

A cleaning program will improve the system's overall performance and stability, which will in turn make your life a whole lot easier.

Most registry cleaners allow you to make back-ups of the entries you chose to repair. You can always restore changes using the back-up feature.

Other features of cleaners have user-friendly interfaces that easily allow you to improve the stability and performance of your Windows computer.

Registry entries and DLL files are left behind by many programs when they are removed or uninstalled.

Invalid ActiveX controls as well as invalid fonts, paths, installer references and invalid help files are picked up by registry cleaners.

If you run mentioned cleaners on a regular basis, your computer will run more problem free. - 30431

What Is the Best Perform Adware and Spyware Removal?

By Graham McKenzie

No PC user wants to own a computer that's running slow because it is clogged with adware and spyware. These malicious intruders into your computer cache can come to your PC from almost anywhere on the World Wide Web. They can attack your PC when you download a file you should not have downloaded, or when you click on a junk email. They sometimes enter your computer when you land on a malicious website. But regardless of how they get into your computer, adware and spyware waste no time sapping computer performance. Even worse, some programs email your personal financial information for criminal use, or they expose your PC to even more malicious software to cause your computer even more havoc. You simply have to protect your PC from both kinds of malicious software, and this removal method needs to protect you 24/7.

There are three key ways that an effective adware or spyware removal program will operate on your PC. They may scan everything you view on the net. This kind of software needs to use minimal memory and it needs to be on at all times. If you have to manually scan your hard drive every time you download something from the net?and nobody can?eventually you will let something slip through. The programs that protect your computer have to work 24/7.

Second, effective adware and spyware removal programs must regularly burrow deep into your files. If your PC is already infected with adware or spyware, these harmful programs could be almost anywhere on your hard drive. Even if you wer to have trouble finding them, they would have no compromising your computer security. An effective removal program scans every single file on your PC accurately, and scans it at least once a week. The best programs incorporate the latest definitions, updated once a week, and they never let adware or spyware in. Running an incomplete scan with an out-of-date definition simply won't do you any good.

The third and final characteristic of a good piece of adware and spyware removal software is filtering. Filters and definitions will stop you from visiting websites or, worse, opening malicious files. Integrated directly into your browser, these software options permit PC users to know whenever they encounter a website that has been blacklisted by other users. And they let you know when you arrive at a site listed potential problem by the software?s developers. The malicious website list not only utilizes a pre-existing database of bad sites, it also searches for signs of suspicious behaviors. Either way, it tells the browser to warn you before entering the site. It does the same scans on potentially malicious files.

Good anti-adware and anti-spyware programs protect your computer. They set up a defensive perimeter around your computer protecting it from adware and spyware. They guard your files and keep your PC virus and spyware free. - 30431
